Pete:

Hi and welcome to this episode of hey Georgie.

Pete:

Where we're going to treat you to a little treat called over the Moon, a little restaurant in Sanur in Bali.

Pete:

So, hi, I'm Pete and as you've probably gathered, Jane and I do travel to Bali quite a bit and we like to.

Pete:

And as you can see, I find example of eating just a little bit too much.

Pete:

But hey, that's life.

Pete:

So we tend to stay in the northern area of Sanur.

Pete:

So that's up near Sindhu Beach, Sindhu Night Market and on Jalan Tamblingan, the main strip in Bali.

Pete:

Just on a bend just before you head towards the market.

Pete:

There's a great restaurant there called over the Moon.

Pete:

We've been going there now for last three trips on a regular basis.

Pete:

We stayed at the Aquarius this time and we didn't have breakfast, so we were out every morning.

Pete:

So one morning we went there for breakfast and we had, well, Jane had a cereal bowl, I had eggs Benedict and they were as good as standard egg Benedict as you would like.

Pete:

But we also frequent there for lunch and dinner or just a coffee just to pop in.

Pete:

They make a very good coffee.

Pete:

But yeah, with the meals they are exceptional in the sense that they're just enough.

Pete:

They're not over the top like you can get in some places.

Pete:

They're fairly reasonably priced.

Pete:

You're looking at about.

Pete:

Let me go and have a look on their website for you.

Pete:

So one of the things I do have there quite often is the Chinese style pork belly bao buns.

Pete:

And there's 70,000, so $7 Australian plus 15 and a half percent on that because a lot of the restaurants there have the government like our here in Australia, GST and a service charge.

Pete:

So it normally comes somewhere between 15 and 16%.

Pete:

Some of the places have it included, some of it don't.

Pete:

So over the Moon don't include it.

Pete:

But all their food is excellent.

Pete:

Now there is one drink.

Pete:

Their coffees are great, can't argue them.

Pete:

But they have their signature lemon iced tea.

Pete:

And the beauty of that is that you get a flavored ice popsicle in it.

Pete:

So you can have orange, strawberry and all those kind of things.

Pete:

So it's pretty, pretty nifty idea.

Pete:

When I first ordered it, the girl saying, would you like a popsicle?

Pete:

And I'm saying, well, no, I don't need a popsicle, man.

Pete:

I just need the iced tea.

Pete:

And then with language barrier it all clicked and I said, so the icy pole goes into the iced tea and she goes, yes.

Pete:

And then I Figured it out from there and we had a bit of a laugh and it was on for young and old then and we were just having.

Pete:

And every time I went back in and ordered the iced tea, she'd just smile and laugh.

Pete:

The staff very attentive to everything.

Pete:

They.

Pete:

Their English is quite good so it's better than my Indonesian so thank God for that.

Pete:

And it's open from.

Pete:

Just let me double check for you but I'm pretty sure it opens at 8 and closes at like 10.

Pete:

They do have a happy hour happy have 40k and 55k cocktails.

Pete:

So that's from 4pm onwards.

Pete:

If you go to Bali you will see that they have cocktail many hours.

Pete:

So yeah, the over the moon's open from 8am to 9pm It's a little bit of a funky place.

Pete:

I'll show you some photos of that and a little bit of a video into the entrance but comfortable chairs.

Pete:

A lot of nomads go in there, digital nomads and do their work.

Pete:

There's plenty of power sockets and everything there.

Pete:

Fairly decent WI fi I must say.

Pete:

But yeah, it's a.

Pete:

A great place.

Pete:

I do all of my Reviews out of 10 because I can then break them down into food and drink and everything.

Pete:

But this is a good solid seven and a half I've had.

Pete:

Probably just one little bad not.

Pete:

Not bad but not a super duper meal there.

Pete:

But the everything else is excellent and outweighs that one disappointment.

Pete:

But the ambience, location.

Pete:

I will say this about location.

Pete:

You do have to look in a bit so it's not sitting right on the main street on the footpath there's just a fraction bit.

Pete:

So if you're walking south from Sindhu Night Market it's on the left hand side just before Bali Made in Bali.

Pete:

There's a shop on the corner and you'll see it just set back in there a little bit.

Pete:

But all I can say is over the moon with their food, drink and atmosphere.

Pete:

So hope you enjoy it.

Pete:

And there we go.
