Hi, and welcome to the Georgie away from the camera podcast. Hi. I'm Pete George, but all my friends call me Georgie. I'm a photographer, storyteller, who spent a lifetime capturing moments and learning from them, and boy, have I learned over the years. This show has come about because it extends from the camera and into life in general.

I've battled mental illness. I've stepped away from the camera, and I've found my way back, and this time it's with purpose. This show is where I share what I've learned along the way. It's nothing flash. It's called Georgie away from the camera for a reason, but there won't be heaps and heaps of videos.

The videos will be when I need to tell a story. The audio is for when I need to share a message so that you can listen at your own pace undistracted and enjoy the episode, not just flip past it. So this show isn't about gear or perfect shots or anything like that. It's about life and how I see it. As a Gen Xer, they're the people after baby boomers.

We have a lot to share, and this is what this show is all about. It's about sharing what I've learned, how I've learned it, and the lessons along the way, not just with photography, but with life.
